Get to know the music...

The album simply portrayed Matthew in a jazzier kind of light, but it was his musical muse driving the whole venture. In Matthew's words,"I felt, as well as Shawn (Mullins) and Gerry Hansen, that the music I was writing for this album was asking for the kind of support and punctuation that sax, trumpet, and trombone could offer."

After a couple of years hiatus, Matthew surprises us again with his upcoming release, Learning Curve, which promises to be his most unique album yet. (Set to be released in early 2008). It is with the advent of this new CD that we learn the many creative sides of Matthew Kahler... yet still find that infectious hook that's always embedded in the song, always drawing us back for more.

In the meantime, Matthew continues to play around the north and southeast through the remainder of the year. Stay tuned in for upcoming news and show information.
